Child Protection Policy
Effective January 1, 2026
SN Foundation exists to protect and support orphaned children. This policy sets out the standards every affiliated organization, sponsor, and staff member must follow to keep children safe throughout the sponsorship process.
1. Our commitment
A child's safety, dignity, and wellbeing come before any fundraising or platform goal. No child is listed for sponsorship until their case has been submitted by an affiliated organization and reviewed by SN Foundation against our published eligibility criteria.
2. Identity protection
Children are never listed by their real name — only a system-assigned alias and avatar appear on public profiles. Real names, exact addresses, and identifying details are never published and are only accessible to the affiliated organization and SN Foundation administrators for verification and reporting purposes.
3. Affiliated organization standards
Every affiliated organization must be a recognized educational, charitable, or community-based organization already working directly with orphaned or underprivileged children, capable of verifying student information, and willing to provide regular academic and financial reports for each sponsored child.
4. Reporting and oversight
Affiliated organizations submit ongoing reports on each sponsored child's education and wellbeing. SN Foundation reviews these reports and reserves the right to suspend or terminate an affiliation that fails to meet its reporting or safeguarding obligations.
5. Reporting a concern
If you believe a child's safety or wellbeing is at risk, or that an affiliated organization is not meeting these standards, contact SN Foundation immediately through our contact page. All concerns are reviewed promptly and confidentially.
